Located in Sarlat-la-Canéda, in the heart of Dordogne, La Forêt des Écureuils is a renowned outdoor adventure park, recognized for the quality of its tree-top adventure courses and Via Ferrata experience, attracting visitors of all ages every year.

For the 2026 season, the park is expanding its activities with four brand-new outdoor experiences in Sarlat, designed for all audiences and packed with even more excitement: the Murder Game, the Treasure River, the FunBox, and the Big Bag Jump.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you come climb

From age 2 thanks to the Bambins course. Our 16 courses are progressive, from the most accessible up to sportier trails for adults. Minimum height required is 1.25m for the family course and 1.35m for the Adventurer course.

Online booking is strongly recommended, especially on weekends and in July-August. It is mandatory for the "Murder Game" activity.

Yes, online payment isn't enabled. This option lets you reserve your harnesses and pay using another method on site.

Allow 1 to 4 hours for tree climbing alone (varies depending on the course chosen). Combining several activities (Via Ferrata, Big Bag Jump, Murder Game, Treasure River) makes for an ideal full day out.

The Big Bag Jump is our new 2026 attraction: a jump from an elevated platform onto a giant airbag on the ground. Guaranteed thrills, accessible from age 8 — the only installation of its kind in the Périgord Noir.

Yes, every course brings you back down to the ground, and on the more complex courses you can take an escape route roughly every 5 obstacles. That said, for the more adventurous thrill-seekers, we've also arranged for 3 courses to be linked one after another without coming back down.
