How our Via Ferrata works
The via ferrata (from the Latin meaning "iron road") is a sporting route set into a rock face, equipped with cables, rungs, and bridges that make progression easier while ensuring a high level of safety. Halfway between hiking and climbing, via ferrata offers an accessible and enjoyable experience — perfect for discovering the thrill of exposure without being an expert climber.
Located near Sarlat, our via ferrata features a continuous safety line, ensuring you are always secured throughout the entire route. It includes 8 zip lines and takes between 1h30 and 2 hours depending on your pace. The difficulty level is deliberately kept accessible so the whole family can enjoy it — provided participants are at least 1.40m tall. Before each departure, a full briefing is carried out by a team member, followed by a short practice section to check that all instructions have been understood.
For sporting safety reasons and to avoid the heat of the day, departures take place in the morning only. The price includes the hire of a helmet, harness, and lanyards, as well as the purchase of gloves — everything you need for a hassle-free experience.
